The Mental Health Council of Arkansas enthusiastically supports the expansion of Certified
Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) in Arkansas. Thanks to your efforts and
dedication, CARES Act funding was expedited and made a reality for Arkansas.
We are excited to share with you the great work happening in the State of Arkansas as a result of
grant awards via the CARES Act. These HHS grants are distributed by the Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration and aids efforts to increase access and improve the
quality of community mental and substance use disorder treatment services through the
expansion of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) program. The funding
is supported by both annual appropriations allocations and emergency COVID-19 funds through
the CARES Act. These services are designed to improve the Population and Consumer health of
our most vulnerable and at-risk fellow Arkansans in a cost sensitive and clinically effective value
based service delivery system.
The following is a progress report from the 3 grant awardees in Arkansas. These grants are now
alive and at work.
Thank you for being a Champion for the State of Arkansas.
